A Bit Grimm...

My grandkids Karis and Daniel are in a wonderful school play this weekend. Peabody charter school produces a fine play each year. This year it is a production including four of Grimm's fairy tales in a very creative and unusual fashion.
The play runs for four nights, the first two nights were sold out! I saw the production on the first night Thursday, and will go again to see the last show on Sunday afternoon.

Harvest Host! Three Roadtreks at Tobin James winery! What fun!

On Monday Dave and Judith, Kathy and Doug, and Judy went to taste wine. Sorry I made a mistake. It was two Roadtrek's and a SOB.  This is my first try at blogging from the new iphone.

Three Roadtreks and a SOB* at Foleys winery

On Sunday we went to Foleys winery. Jan and Jerry joined us for the wine. * A SOB is Some Other Brand.  Dave and Judith have a Pleasure Way.

Then we went to El Capitan state beach for the night. Halibut green salad and roasted veggies for dinner. Yum!

LEAVING CANYONLANDS

I took a morning walk while Chris packed up and headed for Salt Lake and her ancestors.

Took the route back to Blanding suggested by Robin through beautiful aspen forests.

BALLOONS FLYING HIGH!

Up at 5:30 to check wind and decided to stay at camp since it looked like the balloons would come our way.  We Were Right!
This balloon was landing in our field!  Jim had said that when they land they need ballast to stay down.  Ran to help!

Hanging on to basket and still taking pictures

5:00am I heard a Whoosh sound, looked out my window....Dawn Patrol floating by.  WOW!
Up Close.  Wandering among the balloons before they lift off.

CANYON de CHELLY

We really didn't want to ride the "shake and bake" trucks that the Thunderbird Lodge toured in.  We were told at the desk that they did have jeeps, but this morning we found that to be not true.

Scurried into town and lucked out with a fine guide and a comfortable vehicle.  Kenneth showered us with information and it was a great tour.
